How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Multi-Skilled Project Engineer (Electrical Bias)
    Location: Beccles, Suffolk
    Hours: Monday–Friday | 08:00–16:30
    Salary: Competitive (DOE)
    Contract: Permanent

    Looking to step away from repetitive maintenance and into a more varied, project-driven role?

    We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Project Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established manufacturing business in Beccles. This is a hands-on position where you’ll take ownership of engineering projects across installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Working closely with the Project & Site Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in modernising equipment, improving performance, and delivering real change across the site.

    What You’ll Be Doing
    Deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion
    Install, modify, and decommission production machinery
    Support site upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
    Work with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
    Ensure all tasks meet health, safety, and compliance standards
    Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
    Maintain accurate project documentation What We’re Looking For
    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
    Multi-skilled capability with a solid mechanical understanding
    Experience working with production or manufacturing equipment
    Confident working on projects, installs, or upgrades
    Understanding of machinery safety (PUWER desirable)
    Full UK driving licence
