How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Workscope

    Addison Project Plc are seeking applications from PSC Contractors who are experienced Senior Piping Designers to support a plant refurbishment project in Cheshire. This opportunity is ideal for someone with proven UK onshore experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or food & beverage sectors, with strong technical capability in AutoCAD Plant 3D and a solid understanding of process plant design standards.

    Services to be Provided

    Piping design management of the full design process from concept through to construction, including pipe support design, scopes of work, relaying information to the piping design team, checking of other designer’s work, and communications with contractors. The design of piping systems using AutoCad Plant 3D is also required.

    - Developing accurate 3D models for piping designs and some mechanical equipment, vessels, structural interfaces

    - Producing high‑quality piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings (GAs) and full scope package documentation using AutoCAD Plant 3D.

    - Designing and modelling pipe supports and associated mechanical details.

    - Performing design checks and verification to ensure compliance with project standards and safety requirements.

    - Integrating and interpreting laser‑scan point cloud data within 3D models.

    - Conducting site surveys, gathering dimensional information and producing clear, concise survey reports.

    Experience & Skills Required

    - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D for piping and mechanical design.

    - Demonstrable experience designing piping routes in chemical, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage process plants (oil & gas experience also considered).

    - Competence in mechanical equipment layout, piping routing and support design.

    - Experience working from and integrating laser scan point clouds.

    - Ability to produce and check: GA drawings, isometric drawings, pipe support drawings.

    - Proven capability in site data collection and technical report writing.

    - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality, compliant designs.
