How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SITE FACILITIES COORDINATOR

Morson are looking for a site facilities coordinator to work for one of our aerospace clients on a contracting basis

    1. Job Purpose

The Site Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and operational performance of the organisation’s buildings, infrastructure, and site services. The role provides strong capability in facilities operations, contractor management, compliance, maintenance planning, and site safety. The post holder ensures that the site environment is safe, functional, compliant, and aligned with operational needs—supporting engineering, manufacturing, office, and test activities. This role acts as a key point of contact for all facilities‑related matters and drives continuous improvement in site operations.

    2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Facilities Operations & Site Management

Oversee day‑to‑day operation of site facilities including buildings, utilities, and infrastructure.
Ensure all site services (HVAC, power, water, waste, security, cleaning, grounds) operate effectively.
Work with team leaders and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
Coordinate space planning, office moves, and site layout changes.
Maintain accurate records of site assets, maintenance schedules, and service logs.
2.2 Compliance, Safety & Regulatory Management

Ensure site compliance with UK legislation including HASAWA 1974, PUWER, COSHH, and building regulations.
Maintain statutory inspection schedules (e.g., fire systems, lifting equipment, electrical testing).
Work closely with H&S teams to ensure safe working environments and risk controls.
Lead or support site audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
Ensure all facilities activities follow internal policies and governance requirements.
    2.3 Contractor & Supplier Management

Manage external contractors delivering maintenance, cleaning, security, and specialist services.
Oversee contractor performance, SLAs, and compliance with site rules and safety standards.
Support procurement of facilities services, equipment, and maintenance contracts.
Ensure permits‑to‑work, RAMS, and contractor documentation are in place and compliant.
Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable service delivery.
2.4 Maintenance Planning & Asset Management

Develop and manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Identify and prioritise maintenance needs, repairs, and upgrades.
Support lifecycle planning for key assets and infrastructure.
Monitor maintenance performance and implement improvements.
Ensure critical systems have appropriate resilience and contingency measures.
2.5 Budgeting, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Support the development and management of facilities budgets.
Track expenditure, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and ensure value for money.
Produce reports on site performance, maintenance status, and compliance.
Lead or support facilities improvement projects and site development initiatives.
Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
    3. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    3.1 Essential

Experience managing facilities operations within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or similar environments.
Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and site infrastructure.
Knowledge of UK compliance requirements including HASAWA, PUWER, COSHH, and building regulations.
Experience managing contractors, service providers, and maintenance teams.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
    Good communication and stakeholder‑management capability.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, site plans, and maintenance records.
Experience managing PPM schedules and facilities management systems.
    3.2 Desirable

Relevant facilities or engineering qualification (e.g., IWFM, NEBOSH, mechanical/electrical background).
Experience supporting capital projects, refurbishments, or site expansions.
Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, or environmental compliance.
Familiarity with CAFM or asset‑management systems.
Experience in high‑integrity or regulated industries.
    4. Security Clearance

This role may be subject to UK Security Clearance requirements (BPSS, SC, or higher). The post holder must be eligible and able to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance.
