How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Lead Teacher (SRB – Autism)

    King’s Lynn, Norfolk

    Immediate Start | Primary Academy

Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher with a specialism in Autism (ASC)? Do you thrive in nurturing environments where you can make a genuine, lasting impact on children’s lives?

At Inspire EHC, we are looking for a Lead Teacher for a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) within a welcoming primary academy in King’s Lynn. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership-focused teaching role, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition in a well-supported, inclusive setting.

    The Role

You’ll be joining a dedicated SRB team, providing high-quality teaching and leadership while covering a teacher on short-term absence.

Job Title: Lead SRB Teacher (ASC Specialist)

    Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk

Start Date: ASAP (from 7th May 2026)

Duration: Until 22nd May 2026 (with potential for September opportunities)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day

    Type: Long-term supply contract

Setting: Primary Academy – Specialist Resource Base (SRB)

This role offers a brilliant “foot in the door” opportunity, as the school is also recruiting permanently for September, meaning there is potential for longer-term progression.

    What You’ll Be Doing

Leading teaching and learning within the SRB provision

Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to access a tailored curriculum

Creating a structured, nurturing and engaging learning environment

Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and senior leadership

Providing consistency during a period of staff absence

Modelling best practice in SEND teaching and inclusive education

    What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from teachers who bring both expertise and warmth to the classroom:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

Proven experience working with ASC / Autism

Experience in SEN, SRB, or specialist settings

Confidence stepping into a lead or senior role

A calm, patient and adaptable approach

    Strong communication and collaboration skills

Leadership experience is highly desirable, but equally important is your ability to build relationships and create a positive, supportive space for learners.

    Why Work with Inspire EHC?

At Inspire EHC, we specialise in SEND education recruitment and pride ourselves on matching the right educators with the right schools.

Personalised support from a dedicated consultant

Access to specialist SEN settings across Norfolk and beyond

Opportunities for both long-term and permanent roles

A warm, people-first approach to recruitment

    Interested?

The Headteacher is keen to meet suitable candidates before progressing, so if this role feels like the right fit, we would love to hear from you.
