How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Higher Level Teaching Assistant - EYFS (Primary School, Manchester)

    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, long-term, with potential for permanent placement

    About the Role:
    Aspire People is looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a welcoming primary school EYFS team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates with a passion for early years education to gain hands-on experience in a primary school setting.

    In this role, you will support EYFS children, helping them to access their learning and develop key skills. You may also cover PPA sessions, with training provided by the school to build your confidence and experience in this area. This role is ideal for those looking for long-term, full-time experience in a school environment, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

    Who We're Looking For:
    * UK-based graduates with one of the following:
    o Early Childhood Studies
    o Education
    o Related degrees in Early Years or Education
    * Early years experience, which could include:
    o Placement in a nursery or primary school EYFS setting
    o Professional experience within an early years environment
    * Enthusiastic and committed to supporting children's learning and development
    * DBS on the Update Service
    * References covering the last 2 years
