How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Cutter Grinder

    West Midlands (On-site)

    35,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

    Monday - Friday

    Flexible shifts: 5am-1pm or 7am-3pm

    We are looking for an experienced CNC Cutter Grinder to join a well-established and supportive manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a skilled group of 18 CNC professionals, within a wider team of 28, where progression and development are encouraged.

    The Role

    * As a CNC Cutter Grinder, you'll play a key role in the production of both standard and bespoke precision cutting tools.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Setting, programming and operating CNC grinding machines (Walter, Rollomatic or ANCA).

    * Producing tools to a high level of accuracy and precision.

    * Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications.

    * Inspecting and measuring completed tools using both standard and advanced measuring equipment.

    * Troubleshooting machine and tooling issues to minimise downtime.

    * Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment.

    What We're Looking For

    * We're seeking someone who can hit the ground running with experience in CNC cutter grinding.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Proven experience on Walter, ANCA or Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.

    * Strong technical ability in setting and machine operation.

    * High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

    * Commitment to health & safety standards.
