Job Description
The Senior Electrical Estimator is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team. This is a fulltime position based out of our clients’ offices in either Co. Derry or Co. Armagh
Responsibilities
* Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
* Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
* Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients
* Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.
* Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.
* Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
* Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
* Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department.
Required Experience
* Strong commercial experience in an Estimator role
* Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
* High attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
* Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients
Salary description
£55000.00 - £85000.00 per year
