How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Senior CNC Manufacturing & Process Engineer – Aerospace Components

    Craigavon, Northern Ireland
    Up to £55,000 + Benefits
    Permanent | Full-Time

Syntech Recruitment is partnering with a well-established aerospace precision engineering business in Craigavon that specialises in manufacturing complex structural components. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer with strong CAM programming expertise to take ownership of machining processes from concept through to production.

    The Opportunity

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who understands machining from the shop floor up and enjoys improving manufacturing performance, machining strategy, and process reliability within a high-precision environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Define and manage complete manufacturing process flows from raw material through to finished components.

    * Develop, create, and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (Mastercam highly preferred).

    * Support machining activities both offline and directly on the machine for prove-outs, optimisation, and troubleshooting.

    * Produce detailed routings, setup documentation, and clear manufacturing instructions.

    * Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and help transition new components into production.

    * Drive continuous improvements in machining efficiency, cycle times, tooling performance, and process stability.

    * Work closely with machinists, quality teams, and operations to support production requirements.

    * Assist with tooling, fixturing, and equipment selection for complex machining applications.

    What They're Looking For

    * 10+ years of experience within CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering environments.

    * Strong CNC machining knowledge with progression from machinist, programmer, or manufacturing engineer backgrounds highly desirable.

    * Proven CAM programming experience, ideally using Mastercam.

    * Experience working with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centres.

    * Comfortable machining medium to large structural components (approximately 1m–5m).

    * Aerospace industry experience preferred, or experience within another high-precision / high-integrity manufacturing environment.

    * Experience machining aluminium alloys; exposure to titanium or nickel alloys would be advantageous.

    * Full Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

    Desirable Experience

    * Exposure to inspection processes and working closely with quality departments.

    * Familiarity with machine tools such as DMG, Hüller Hille, MCM, SMK, or similar platforms.

To apply, please send your CV outlining:

    * CNC machining and manufacturing engineering experience

    * CAM systems used (particularly Mastercam)

    * 3/4/5-axis machining experience

    * Types and sizes of components previously worked on
