Design a range of tooling, special purpose machinery and other components used within automated environments.

* Chance to work on multiple projects at any given point. The design team work closely with production that is onsite.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is used to working closely with production for the design of machinery. Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD package is ideal, but we can look at Solidworks too. Any prior experience designing material handling machinery / conveyor based equipment would be useful, but not essential for the right character. A solid technical background and attitude is more of a priority than industry background.

Salary & Package: c£45,000 per annum basic.

Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

This Mechanical Design Engineer job will suit:

* Qualified to HND/degree level or equivalent in mechanical engineering

* Experience in the mechanical design for manufacturing purposes.

*

Specific Inventor CAD package would be an advantage.

*

An understanding of tooling, fixtures, special purpose machinery or pneumatics would be an advantage for this role.

Using Inventor software to design components and systems.

* Working closely with the manufacturing team on site to identify requirements and how production techniques may impact design.

* Compiling associated reports upon completion.

* Problem solving to find design solutions.

* Managing several design projects at any point. Managing customer expectations along the way.
