How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ️ MEICA Commissioning Engineer | West Sussex | AMP8 Water Projects

    Outside IR35 | Long-Term Framework Work
    Clean Water & Wastewater Projects | Tier 1 Contractor

    Not every commissioning role gives you the chance to properly influence delivery.

    This one does.

    A leading Tier 1 contractor delivering AMP8 projects across West Sussex is looking for a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of clean and wastewater schemes across the region.

    This role would suit someone who enjoys being involved in the full commissioning process — from planning and testing through to fault finding, optimisation, and final handover.

    You’ll be working closely with delivery, operations, MEICA, and site teams to make sure projects are commissioned safely, efficiently, and correctly the first time.

    🌊 The Role

    You’ll support commissioning activities across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects, helping drive smooth integration between design, installation, and operational handover.

    This is a hands-on role where strong technical understanding and site coordination are key.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting commissioning delivery across clean and wastewater projects
    • Assisting with commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation
    • Coordinating testing, inspection, and commissioning activities on site
    • Working closely with MEICA, civils, and operational teams
    • Supporting fault finding and system optimisation during commissioning phases
    • Ensuring all commissioning activities are completed safely and in line with programme
    • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives
    • Supporting project handover and completion processes

    🔧 What They’re Looking For

    You may currently be working as a:

    * Commissioning Engineer

    * MEICA Engineer

    * Electrical Commissioning Engineer

    * ICA Engineer

    * Site Engineer with commissioning exposure

    Ideal Experience:

    • Water sector experience preferred (clean or wastewater)
    • Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA background
    • Understanding of commissioning processes and site delivery
    • Experience working alongside operational and construction teams
    • Strong communication and coordination skills
    • CSCS / SMSTS beneficial
    • Full UK driving licence
