How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

If you enjoy designing complex electrical systems and turning detailed engineering requirements into robust, real‑world equipment, this role offers the chance to work across the full design and development lifecycle.

You’ll join a multi‑disciplinary engineering team responsible for developing and integrating advanced equipment used in highly technical environments. Working on both new developments and enhancements to existing platforms, you’ll play a central role in delivering reliable, compliant, and high‑performance electrical systems.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with broad scope. While strong electrical and electronic design expertise is essential, your work will span control systems, electrical assemblies, safety circuits, and full system integration. You’ll be involved in everything from concept and detailed design through to testing, validation, and ongoing support.

You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers, contributing to the integration of complex subsystems into fully functioning equipment. The role requires working to defined standards and regulations, producing clear technical documentation, and supporting builds, testing, and troubleshooting activities.

Success in this position comes from a combination of strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem‑solving approach. You’ll need to be comfortable working to deadlines in a structured environment, while also using initiative to overcome challenges and improve designs and processes.

    Experience/Skills:

Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or similar)

Proven experience in electrical and electronic design within an engineering environment

Strong understanding of control systems, interfaces, and electrical integration

Experience with power distribution design (AC/DC)

Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design

Experience designing electrical assemblies, enclosures, and wiring harnesses

Ability to carry out fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems

Understanding of machinery safety standards and regulations (e.g. EN60204, EN13849 or similar)

Experience producing technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and test procedures

Familiarity with electrical CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent); 3D CAD desirable

Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills

Effective communicator, able to work both independently and within a team

On offer is a competitive package including generous holiday allowance, pension, bonus and share schemes, life assurance, and additional benefits.

If you’re motivated by delivering high‑quality engineering solutions, enjoy working on complex systems, and want to play a key role in equipment design and integration, apply now for immediate consideration
