How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tender Planner to join a long-established and highly respected main contractor delivering projects across London and the South East.

Our client is a privately owned, financially stable construction business with a proud history. Operating across sectors including education, healthcare, heritage, commercial, residential and public sector frameworks, they have built an outstanding reputation for quality, collaboration and successful project delivery.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, they are now seeking a Tender Planner to support pre-construction and bid activities.

    The Role

Working closely with the Pre-Construction, Estimating and Bid teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed tender programmes and construction methodologies for a wide range of refurbishment, fit-out and new build projects, typically ranging from £1m to £10m in value.

You will play a key role in supporting competitive tender submissions, analysing project logistics, sequencing works and identifying key programme risks and opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Preparing tender and bid programmes using Asta Powerproject or similar planning software
    • Developing construction methodologies and sequencing strategies
    • Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications
    • Identifying programme risks, critical paths and opportunities for value engineering
    • Assisting with logistics planning and phasing strategies, particularly on live environment projects
    • Supporting presentations and client interviews where required
    • Maintaining programme standards and planning best practice across bids

    Requirements

    • Previous experience as a Tender Planner or Construction Planner within a main contracting environment
    • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and delivery methodologies
    • Experience working on refurbishment and new build projects across public or private sectors
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
