How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role… 

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Project Manager Civils (EV Infrastructure) to join our team, with a strong focus on civil engineering delivery within the Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure sector.

    This role is primarily responsible for managing civils build teams delivering groundworks, ducting, cabling routes, and associated infrastructure works across multiple sites.

    The successful candidate will take full ownership of projects from planning through to completion—ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.

    As a Project Manager – Civils / EV Infrastructure  Reporting directly to the Head of EV Operations, you will:

    Lead and manage civils build teams across multiple live sites

    Oversee delivery of groundworks, trenching, duct installation, reinstatement, and associated civils works

    Ensure all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and build programmes

    Plan and coordinate site activities, labour, plant, and materials

    Monitor productivity and performance of civils teams on-site

    Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations, delivering toolbox talks and conducting site audits

    Report near misses, incidents, and observations, driving a proactive safety culture

    Manage project costs, track spend, and report on variances against budget

    Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders where required

    Coordinate with internal teams (design, electrical, commercial) to ensure smooth project delivery

    Maintain accurate site records and documentation using systems such as SharePoint

    Attend site meetings and progress reviews with clients and senior management

    Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining programme targets

    Be willing to travel and stay away from home during the working week as required

    About you… 

    Strong background in civil engineering and site delivery, with hands-on experience managing teams in a live construction environment.

    Essential:

    SMSTS qualification

    NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor qualification

    Proven experience managing civils / groundworks teams

    Strong knowledge of highways works, reinstatement, ducting, and utility installations

    Experience working on multi-site civils projects

    Strong understanding of health & safety in a construction environment

    Ability to read and interpret drawings and site plans

    Excellent organisational and planning skills

    Full UK driving licence

    Desirable:

    Experience within Utilities or EV infrastructure projects

    Knowledge of permit schemes and local authority requirements

    Experience working alongside electrical installation teams
