How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Client/Child Lucy is a much‑loved 24‑year‑old who lives in her own beautifully adapted annex, surrounded by stunning views of the Gloucestershire and Welsh countryside. At the heart of a warm and lively family home with her parents, siblings, and two friendly dogs, Lucy enjoys an environment full of love, routine, and connection. Her annex includes her own hydrotherapy pool, sensory room, garden access, and a bright, welcoming bedroom — a space designed entirely around her comfort and happiness. Lucy adores sensory experiences and has a few favourite TV programmes she never misses — Strictly Come Dancing, Mr Tumble, and Balamory are top of the list! She has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and requires full support with personal care, PEG feeds, medication, manual handling, and interpreting her needs. She communicates through vocalisation, smiles, and expressions — and when she’s happy, her smile lights up the room.
    The Role at a Glance Wesekends are organised with joy, and structure. With the support of Mum and the wider Care Team, her days often include: swimming, sensory play and time in the community. Activities are chosen to support her development and enjoyment. Working on a 2:1 basis, you’ll help ensure all of Lucy’s care, health and medical needs are met. PEG feeds take place at 12.30pm and 5.00pm, and her comprehensive care plan provides clear guidance for all aspects of her routine, including bedtime. Lucy’s fully adapted bedroom and bathroom make care tasks safe and comfortable. Once she’s settled for the night, her mum pops in to say goodnight before the nighttime team begins. The *female Support Worker in this role will bring enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity — always looking for new, meaningful activities Lucy can enjoy.
    This Job Would Suit Someone who is warm, engaging, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. You’ll be:
    * Fun and approachable
    * Motivated and reliable
    * Comfortable working within a family home
    * Keen to help Lucy thrive emotionally, physically and socially
    If you love hands‑on, purposeful work and enjoy being part of a collaborative care team, this role will be incredibly fulfilling.
    Why You’ll Love This Role The very best part of this role is Lucy herself. She is a joy to support — a young woman with a big personality, a strong presence and a household full of love surrounding her. Her long-standing care team is a testament to the supportive, positive environment created by the family. You’ll enjoy ongoing supervision, a welcoming and well-organised team. A role where your contribution truly matters. Apply today and become part of something genuinely special.

All applications are reviewed and screened to ensure essential criteria are met before suitable CVs are shared with the client or case manager, who will then continue the recruitment process directly.
