How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: CNC Turner (Mazak)

    Location: Denton, Greater Manchester

    Hours:
    . Standard hours: 08:00 - 16:30 (Monday to Thursday), 08:00 - 13:00 (Friday)
    . Flexible start times between 06:00 - 08:00 (subject to management discretion)
    . Overtime available (at management discretion):
    . First 10 hours at x1.5
    . Any additional hours at x2

    Pay Rate:
    Final rate to be confirmed following assessment of skills and experience

    Role Overview
    As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls, producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    . Program, set, and operate Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls
    . Manufacture complex aerospace components from detailed technical drawings
    . Work to AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards
    . Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
    . Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to maintain compliance and efficiency

    Requirements
    . Proven experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering or aerospace environment

    . Strong working knowledge of Mazak CNC machines and Mazatrol programming
    . Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings accurately
    . Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards
    . High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
