How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Female Rehabilitation Support Worker – Cambridge
    💷 £18.66 per hour | ⏰ 36 hours per week | 📍 Cambridge
Typical working pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week – days, nights, and weekends.
Are you looking for a support role where you can build a meaningful working relationship with one person and genuinely contribute to their independence?
We are recruiting Female Rehabilitation Support Workers to join a small, dedicated team supporting a young woman with a physical disability in Cambridge.
This is not traditional domiciliary care. You won't be travelling between multiple clients or completing short care calls. Instead, you'll work consistently with one person, supporting her to live an active, independent and fulfilling life at home and within the community.
    💛 The role
Your role will focus on enabling rather than doing for.
You'll encourage independence, choice and autonomy while providing the right level of support when required.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Supporting independence and daily living skills
    * Providing personal care sensitively and respectfully
    * Supporting medication and health needs
    * Supporting social, leisure and community activities
    * Accompanying the client to appointments and activities
    * Supporting routines and weekly plans
    * Working alongside therapists and other professionals
    * Supporting agreed rehabilitation and therapy programmes
    * Driving the client's Motability vehicle
    * Maintaining clear and accurate care records
    * Identifying and reporting changes or concerns
    * Working collaboratively with the wider support team
You'll become part of a consistent team where getting to know the person you support, understanding how she communicates and recognising what matters to her are central to providing excellent support.
🙋‍♀️ Who are we looking for?
You may currently work as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Rehabilitation Assistant, Personal Assistant, SEN Support Worker or Care Worker.
Previous experience within care, healthcare, rehabilitation or disability support is beneficial; however, attitude, values and personality are incredibly important to us.
We're looking for someone who is:
    ⭐ Positive and proactive
    ⭐ Reliable and committed
    ⭐ Confident and encouraging
    ⭐ An excellent communicator
⭐ Respectful of individual choice and autonomy
⭐ Able to work independently and as part of a team
⭐ Willing to learn and undertake specialist training
A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the client's Motability vehicle.
    ⭐ What we offer
    💷 £18.66 per hour
⏰ 36 contracted hours per week
    📅 3 x 12-hour shifts – 2 days and 1 waking night
🏡 The opportunity to support one person consistently
🎓 Specialist training and ongoing development
🩺 Support from an experienced nurse-led management and case management team
🤝 Opportunity to work alongside therapists and other healthcare professionals
🌱 A role focused on rehabilitation, independence and quality of life
If you're looking for a role where you can develop your skills, build a positive professional relationship and see the difference your support makes, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and tell us why you think you'd be a great addition to the team.
Due to the personal care requirements of this position, applications are invited from female candidates only. This is considered an occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
