How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Graduate / Applications Engineer – Data Centre HVAC

Field-based (Ireland – Dublin, Cork & surrounding areas)
    £45,000–£60,000 + bonus + benefits

Step into the rapidly expanding data centre sector and apply your mechanical engineering knowledge in a role that blends technical expertise with real-world project influence.

This is an opportunity to move beyond purely technical design work and get involved at the front end of major projects—working closely with consultants and contractors to shape HVAC system specifications from the outset.

You’ll gain exposure to high-value, complex projects while building commercial awareness, giving you a clear pathway into senior engineering, applications, or technical sales leadership roles.

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from a strong bonus scheme, a solid pension, and the flexibility to manage your own schedule across key regions like Dublin and Cork.

    What you’ll do

Work closely with mechanical consultants and contractors, supporting the design and specification of HVAC solutions for large-scale data centre projects.

Deliver technical presentations and CPD seminars, helping clients understand system performance, efficiency, and application best practice.

Provide application support and guidance on product selection, ensuring solutions meet both technical and commercial project requirements.

Build relationships across the project lifecycle, gaining early involvement to influence design decisions and specifications.

    What you’ll need

A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), with a strong interest in HVAC systems and building services.

Some experience or exposure to HVAC, building services, or thermal systems (placements, internships, or early career roles all considered).

Strong communication skills and confidence explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

A proactive mindset and interest in developing both technical and commercial skills.

    About the company

A well-established market leader within HVAC solutions, known for investing in people, supporting career development, and providing long-term progression opportunities
