How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Client/Child
Ollie is very well known to Snap Care — we’ve had the privilege of supporting him since he was a teeny wee tot! Now almost 10, he lives at home with his Mum, Dad and younger brother in a fully adapted, warm and welcoming family home. Ollie has a dedicated 1:1 team (day and night) and a brilliant therapy team supporting his rehabilitation. He is an outgoing, joyful, energetic young boy with a huge love of singing, music, and sensory play. Outdoors is his happy place: he loves wheelchair walks to the park, people-watching and feeding the ducks. Olie has Cerebral Palsy affecting his overall development. He is a wheelchair user and requires support with all aspects of moving and handling, plus encouragement with eating. He is verbal and progressing beautifully with SLT input; he also uses PECs, some Makaton and ‘now and next’ boards to support his expressive communication. He is wonderfully expressive, thrives on lively interaction, and builds lovely rapport with people who bring fun, warmth and creativity to his day.
The Role at a Glance Your shift begins at 2.00 pm, preparing play activities and supper before collecting Ollie from school in his wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV). Some days include extracurricular clubs or therapy sessions, all following a clear weekly schedule. A key element of the role is delivering Ollie ’s therapy and rehabilitation programme in a playful, motivating and imaginative way. He loves silly humour and animated interaction — so bring your fun side! Ollie shares a very sweet, special bond with his 5-year-old brother, so gentle support to help them play and spend time together is important. His little brother always wants to be a part of what ever Ollie is doing. Ollie needs confident, skilled support with personal care, self-help and independence skills. Evenings are his favourite: a warm bath, a cosy wind-down routine and settling into bed with stories. A handover to his waking night carer completes your shift.
This Job Would Suit A fun, creative, bubbly and confident SEN Support Worker who enjoys learning and embracing new skills. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to grow their therapy knowledge. If you love to laugh, sing, be silly, playful and engaging — you’ll be Ollie’s kind of person!
Why You’ll Love This Role Supporting Ollie is the highlight. He is full of mischief, curiosity, joy and bright energy, and he will absolutely make you smile every day. This role is highly recommended by his current Snap Care team. You’ll receive excellent training, ongoing supervision and full support throughout.
Recruitment Process This vacancy is managed through Snap Care’s Shortlist Service. We will review all applications and confirm essential criteria before passing suitable CVs and contact details to our client/case manager, who will continue the recruitment process directly. By applying, you consent to your details being shared with our client.
