How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 6 class during the Autumn Term, guiding pupils through an important stage of their primary education and helping prepare them for a smooth transition into the rest of the academic year.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
    Supporting pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing
    Preparing pupils for SATs foundations and maintaining high expectations
    Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
    Providing support and challenge for all learners, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils
    Working closely with the parallel Year 6 teacher, support staff, and leadership team
    Contributing positively to the wider school communityCandidate Requirements

    The school is seeking a teacher who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Has experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
    Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
    Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
    Is organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about teaching
    Brings energy, commitment, and a proactive attitude to the role
    Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant KS2 placement experience are also encouraged to apply. Salary and Contract Details
