We are currently seeking an experienced Early Years Teacher to join a lovely school in the heart of Stafford, covering a long-term maternity on a temporary basis through a supply agency.
You will be expected to be an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Early Years Teacher who is committed to raising the standards of progress and expectations; closing gaps in any learning. You'll be able to work effectively, flexibly and supportively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Hold responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class.
Treat all pupils with dignity, building trusting and strong relationships which are rooted on mutual respect.
Work proactively and actively alongside colleagues and the leadership team.
Deliver and plan the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the class that you teach.
Responsibility for the preparation and development of teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.What we're looking for:
Qualified Primary Teachers (or those due to qualify by Summer 2026)
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Feels confident in holding full class responsibilities and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons if required during a long-term cover role
Is flexible, reliable, and willing to work on a long-term basis.
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
Can provide two recent professional references
Is able to commute to a school in Stafford
Is fully registered (or willing to register) with AcademicsPay £130 - £160 per day, depending on experience and class responsibilities. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
