We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team on the day shift. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling materials efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties
* Handling materials including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse
* Operating forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
* Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory control
* Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
* Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods
* Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
* Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
* Ensuring all warehouse activities comply with safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
* Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical knowledge is advantageous
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is beneficial
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock management
* Good understanding of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Shift: Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00 or 6-2pm
Pay rate: £12.71ph
