How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    R&D Finance Manager

    Are you an ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified finance manager looking for a new challenge?

    We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join our R&D finance team based at our Littlemore Mental Health Centre in Oxford to support the development of our financial management processes, systems and deployment of resources for our directorate income and expenditure.

    This is a key role within our team where you'll be working closely with the R&D Finance Business Partner and the R&D Senior Accountant to oversee budget control, reporting and forecast analysis for income streams across the directorate.

    You'll be pivotal in ensuring successful financial management of the R&D function which will involve collaboration with the Medical Director, Oxford University, National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), other research bodies and commercial research partners.

    If you're an Excel superuser who loves working with large data sets and you have NHS finance experience within R&D, we want to hear from you!

    Interviews for this role will take place on Tuesday 19th & Thursday 21st of May at our Trust sites in Oxford.

    Main duties of the job

    * Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the reporting of the directorate I&E position against plan monthly, ensuring that all relevant and required accounting entries have been made in the Trust’s electronic finance system.

    * Account for all R&D Income streams

    * Prepare regular reports for Directorate and Finance Business Partner

    * Provide appropriate financial advice and information to the Trust’s budget managers for them to achieve financial targets and contribute to the recovery of overheads to enable the Trust to achieve its overall corporate key financial target
