How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Manager

    Up to £65,000 Basic Salary (Depending on Experience)

    We’re seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead a commercial refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance team.

    Specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of energy-efficient commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC systems, our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high standards of customer service and technical expertise.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware professional with proven leadership skills and extensive experience within the refrigeration and HVAC sector.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the service and maintenance function, providing technical support to engineers, preparing quotations for maintenance agreements and remedial works, and supporting the day-to-day coordination of service operations.

    You will play a key role in ensuring efficient service delivery, high customer satisfaction, and the continued smooth running of the maintenance department.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide technical support to service engineers, assisting with fault finding, diagnostics, and identifying required parts or services.

    Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for maintenance contracts and remedial works.

    Support the administration team with scheduling, resource planning, and customer communication.

    Help ensure efficient daily operations and high service standards.

    Lead and support the maintenance team to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance.

    Candidate Requirements

    Minimum of 10 years’ practical experience within commercial refrigeration and air conditioning.

    F-Gas Category 1 certification.

    City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

    Strong IT skills and confidence using apps and computer systems.

    Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

    Full UK Driving Licence.
