How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Supplier Quality Engineer - Farnborough - Manufacturing - Up to £36k
    We are currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company supporting industrial, commercial and military sectors across the UK and internationally.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
    * Maintain supplier approval records, certifications and compliance documentation
    * Investigate supplier-related quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
    * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejected materials and improve supplier performance
    * Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and engineering teams to support quality and compliance objectives
    * Support production teams by identifying process improvement opportunities
    * Prepare and maintain audit findings, compliance reports and quality documentation
    * Communicate with suppliers regarding corrective actions, design changes and first article inspections
    Skills & Experience Required:
    * Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
    * Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
    * Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality activities
    * Proven problem-solving experience using Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement tools
    * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
    * Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and tools
    * Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
    * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
    This role will involve travel to suppliers across the UK and occasionally Europe, so flexibility to travel & driving license is essential.
