How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an Architectural Technologist with 3–5 years’ experience and a passion for sustainable, high-quality design?

A leading Chartered Architectural Practice based in Leeds is seeking an ambitious Architectural Technologist to join their collaborative team. This well-established, medium-sized practice has over 30 years of success and delivers a broad range of commercial, industrial, retail, and residential projects across the UK, with sustainability and innovation at the heart of everything they do.

With a strong culture of internal progression and professional development, this practice offers clear career pathways and the opportunity to grow within a supportive studio environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded Architectural Technologist looking to develop their project experience, broaden their technical knowledge, and build a long-term career with a progressive practice.

    Key Responsibilities

As an Architectural Technologist, you will support the design and technical delivery of projects across a variety of sectors. Your role will include:

Producing detailed technical drawings and construction information.

Supporting projects across relevant RIBA work stages, particularly planning, technical design, tender, and construction stages.

Assisting with the preparation of planning, building regulations, tender, and construction packages.

Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and other project team members.

Attending design, technical, and site meetings where required.

Ensuring drawings and documentation comply with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, and relevant technical standards.

Contributing to the delivery of sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Using BIM and design software effectively, with Vectorworks experience desirable, although training can be provided.

Developing your technical knowledge while working closely with senior members of the team.

    About You

You’ll be a motivated and technically capable Architectural Technologist who is keen to progress within a collaborative practice environment. Ideally, you will have:

3–5 years’ UK-based experience within an architectural practice.

    A relevant Architectural Technology qualification.

Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.

Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.

Experience producing planning, technical, and construction information.

Proficiency in BIM-compatible software; Vectorworks experience would be advantageous, although training is available.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a project team.

A proactive attitude and willingness to continue developing technically and professionally.

An interest in sustainable architecture and modern construction methods.

    What’s on Offer

    Competitive salary, dependent on experience.

Hybrid working to support work-life balance.

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Bonus scheme and Westfield Health cover.

    Cycle to Work Scheme.

    Professional subscriptions paid.

Regular team socials and a dynamic, collaborative studio environment.

Structured development and career progression opportunities.

Opportunity to work on diverse, sustainable projects across multiple sectors.
