How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Consultant Radiologist
    Location: Remote
    Contract Type: Adhoc
    Salary: Competitive rates per session

    We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Radiologist to provide remote reporting support across a range of imaging modalities within a well-structured and governed clinical service. This is a flexible ad hoc remote opportunity suited to a senior clinician with strong cross-sectional imaging expertise and NHS Consultant experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Remote reporting of CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, and fluoroscopy studies
    • Delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic reports
    • Support acute and elective imaging pathways
    • Ensure safe, clinically appropriate, and evidence-based reporting standards
    • Work strictly in line with established reporting protocols and governance frameworks
    • Maintain clear and professional communication with referring clinical teams when required
    • Provide clinical oversight, validation, escalation support, and professional guidance to sonographers, who will be reporting into the Consultant Radiologist
    • Act as the senior clinical authority for reporting governance, ensuring quality assurance and consistency across reporting outputs
    • Support safe escalation pathways for complex or uncertain findings raised by reporting sonographers
    • Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards across the remote reporting service

    Essential Requirements

    • GMC registration with licence to practise
    • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology (mandatory)
    • NHS Consultant Radiologist experience
    • CCT in Clinical Radiology or equivalent specialist qualification
    • Proven Consultant Radiologist experience in a UK clinical setting
    • Strong competency in cross-sectional imaging (CT & MRI essential)
    • Ability to work independently and confidently in a remote reporting environment
    • Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic accuracy, and decision-making skills
    • Commitment to governance, quality assurance, and safe reporting practice
