This Vehicle Technician role is ideally suited to somebody looking to build hands-on experience in vehicle testing, instrumentation, and test track operations, within a specialist engineering environment.
This is a great opportunity to be mentored and developed by some very experienced automotive Engineers and Technicians.
Your background as a Vehicle Technician:
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant automotive engineering, vehicle engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
* Practical experience of working on vehicles and an understanding of automotive / vehicle systems.
* This role may suit a candidate already working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Workshop Technician or somebody who has recently finished an Apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification at college.
* Basic mechanical skills such as removing / refitting components, use of hand tools etc…
* Be able to use Microsoft Office IT systems competently.
* A full clean UK Driving licence is required.
Vehicle Technician responsibilities:
* You will be supporting R&D test activities across both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
* You will be supporting Senior Technicians and Engineers in the preparation, setting up, and execution of vehicle testing.
* Support the installation of test and measurement equipment onto vehicles.
* You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in vehicle systems, instrumentation, data acquisition, mechanical, and electrical installations.
