The successful candidate will join a collaborative and technically strong structural engineering team working across a broad mix of sectors including education, residential, industrial & logistics, government (MoJ & MoD), leisure, hotels, commercial developments, and theatres. Projects range from complex new-build schemes to an increasing volume of refurbishment and adaptive reuse work, providing excellent technical variety. You’ll play a central role in leading project teams, managing client relationships, and driving innovative design solutions while contributing to the strategic growth of the London office.
Our client is looking for a confident and commercially aware Associate Structural Engineer who is ready to step into a leadership position. You will be comfortable overseeing multiple projects, guiding junior engineers, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. What You Need To Succeed
Proven experience in structural engineering design across multiple sectors.
Strong technical capability in materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
Experience leading projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, ETABS, Robot, or similar).
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to project delivery.
Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE, or close to achieving it.
A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
