How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Blackpool & The Fylde College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Cleaning Team Member to join our dynamic team based at our Bispham campus. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £13.45 per hour.

    About the Cleaning Team Member role: 

    We’re seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaning Team Member to help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our sites. You’ll play an important role in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors by delivering a consistent and high?quality cleaning service.

    Key Responsibilities of our Cleaning Team Member:

    Carry out scheduled cleaning across offices, work rooms, corridors, toilets, and other designated areas, including fixtures and fittings.

    Replenish toilet and washroom consumables such as toilet rolls, soap, sanitary products, and disposable bags.

    Safely operate cleaning equipment, including scrubber/driers, steam cleaners, and other associated machinery when required.

    Support periodic deep cleans and respond promptly to emergency cleaning duties across any college site.

    Work co?operatively with the Estates Team, supporting recycling and waste disposal initiatives while adhering to security and safety procedures.
