How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Business Development Manager – IT Sector

    Oxford (Hybrid / Remote Flexibility)

Aztrum Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing, innovative technology company that’s making a strong impact in the IT sector. If you’re ambitious, motivated, and thrive on winning new business, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

    About the Company

Our client is dedicated to helping UK businesses succeed in an increasingly digital world. They provide a range of solutions including cybersecurity, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and business continuity, enabling organisations to remain secure, agile, and competitive.

With a strong reputation for quality and a focus on innovation, the business is expanding quickly and looking to add talented sales professionals to its team.

    The Opportunity

This role offers more than a typical sales position — it’s an opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers and deliver real value to clients.

As a Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be on generating new business, creating opportunities, and developing long-term relationships. Proactive outreach, including cold calling, will be a key part of the role, so confidence and persistence are essential.

While experience managing existing accounts is beneficial, bringing an established client base is not required. What matters most is your drive, attitude, and ability to secure new business.

    Key Responsibilities

Generate new business through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and networking
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities
Engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
Lead consultative sales meetings to understand client needs
Recommend tailored IT solutions across cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and continuity
Maintain accurate records and update CRM systems
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth sales process and onboardingAbout You

Experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation
Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
    Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident using CRM systems and sales tools
Ambitious, coachable, and eager to progress your careerFor more information or to apply, contact Kylie at Aztrum Recruitment:
