How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Walsall
    Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

    Do you enjoy supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

    GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with schools in Walsall, providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

    As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN.
    Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
    Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
    Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
    Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) where required.
    Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support student progress.
    Requirements of SEN TA:

    Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
    Ability to adapt to different learning needs and situations.
    A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
