How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Overview
    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the position of MIG Welder/Fabricator TIG skills also beneficial . This role involves working within a dynamic manufacturing environment, specialising in fabrication and welding processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the assembly and construction of various metal components, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for mechanical work and hands-on fabrication, looking to develop their skills within a professional setting.

    Duties

    * Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.

    * Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to assemble metal parts accurately.

    * Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.

    * Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

    * Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to verify dimensions.

    * Assist with the preparation of materials, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components.

    * Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

    * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

    Experience

    * Proven experience in MIG welding and fabricating.

    * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general fabrication techniques.

    * Knowledge of sheet metal working processes and assembly procedures.

    * Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is desirable.

    * Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is preferred.

    * Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks are essential.

    * Previous experience working with welding equipment, sheet metal fabrication, or mechanical assembly is essential.
