How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Project Manager – Major Roofing & Building Envelope Projects

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing specialist contractor delivering high-profile roofing, cladding, façade remediation, and refurbishment projects across the Central Belt. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Project Manager looking to take ownership of complex construction schemes within a business known for technical excellence, quality delivery, and long-term client relationships.

The successful Project Manager will lead projects from pre-construction through to handover, overseeing operational delivery, programme management, subcontract coordination, health & safety, commercial performance, and stakeholder engagement. Working on live and occupied buildings, this role offers exposure to technically challenging projects across commercial real estate, student accommodation, façade remediation, and specialist roofing works.

This role would suit an ambitious Project Manager who enjoys fast-paced delivery environments, thrives on problem solving, and wants to play a key role in the continued growth of a highly respected specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the UK.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead the successful delivery of roofing, cladding, façade, and refurbishment projects from inception to completion.

Manage project programmes, sequencing, logistics, and subcontractor performance to ensure successful delivery.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Coordinate closely with commercial, design, and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring excellent communication across all project phases.

Oversee site management teams and support operational performance across multiple live projects.

Drive quality assurance, compliance, and health & safety standards across all works.

Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Support project reporting, planning, procurement coordination, and programme management.

Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence within the wider business.

    What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Project Manager within roofing, cladding, façade remediation, refurbishment, or specialist construction sectors.

Strong understanding of delivering projects within live and occupied environments.

Experience managing subcontractors, programmes, client relationships, and operational delivery.

Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and construction best practice.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced construction environments.

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred.

    Full UK driving licence required.

    Why Apply?

Opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most technically challenging and high-profile building refurbishment projects.

Join a business with a strong reputation for technical excellence and long-term client partnerships.

Strong pipeline of secured work across roofing, façade remediation, and specialist construction sectors.

Genuine opportunity for progression and long-term career development.

Collaborative and forward-thinking working environment with strong investment in people and project delivery
