How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Learning Practitioner (SEND) - Waltham Forest - £95 to £120 Daily Rate - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A full-time opportunity has become available for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Practitioner (SEND) to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. This long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of £95 to £120, depending on experience.

Do you hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent?
Do you have experience supporting children or young people with SEND?
Are you confident delivering interventions and supporting pupils with EHCPs?

If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role - Learning Practitioner (SEND)
As a Learning Practitioner (SEND), you will work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and senior leaders to provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The role will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, delivering SEND-specific interventions, assisting with lesson delivery and assessment, and helping pupils to access learning both inside and outside the classroom. You will also support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social development while promoting a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and literacy skills, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. A Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths are essential for this role.

    The School - Waltham Forest
This welcoming and inclusive primary school has a strong commitment to supporting pupils with SEND and creating a positive learning environment for all children. The leadership team is highly supportive, and the school offers ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
