Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor who are seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team based in Sittingbourne.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual looking to develop their career within mechanical estimating, supporting the delivery of high-quality HVAC and Plumbing projects across a range of sectors.
 
The Role
As a Junior Mechanical Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders, while gaining hands-on experience working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
 
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates for HVAC and Plumbing packages
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Supporting with take-offs, cost planning, and supplier enquiries
Assisting senior estimators with pricing and tender submissions
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
Supporting the commercial and project teams during project handover
Maintaining accurate records and estimating documentation  
Requirements

Previous experience within mechanical estimating or an M&E background
Basic understanding of HVAC and Plumbing systems
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work within a team and manage deadlines effectively
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
