How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Job

    The Company

    Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

    This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

    Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak.

    Key Responsibilities

    Set up and operate CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently,
    Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and job specifications,
    Select, install, and adjust tooling to meet job requirements,
    Perform quality checks and ensure all parts meet required tolerances,
    Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed,
    Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area in line with 5S standards in Order,
    Actively participate in Kaizen activities, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, safety, and productivity,
    Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams,
    Complete production documentation accurately.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery (required),
    Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes,
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings,
    Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills,
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality,
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
    Flexibility to work additional hours when require.

    Desirable Skills

    Experience with JP, Bystronic, or similar machinery,
    Basic programming knowledge (CNC press brake),
    Forklift licence or overhead crane experience (advantage).
