How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Position: Architectural Technologist
    Location: Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom
    Salary: Up to £47,000 (dependent on experience)
    Working Arrangement: Hybrid working available following probation
    Employment Type: Permanent

    An Architectural Technologist is required for a growing architectural practice based in Southampton. The studio delivers a wide range of projects across the UK, with a strong focus on high-rise and mixed-use developments throughout London and the South, alongside residential and commercial schemes.

    With offices in Southampton and Bristol, the practice is continuing to expand and is looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 5 years' practice experience to support the delivery of technically demanding projects. This role would suit a technically strong individual capable of working across multiple stages and collaborating closely with design and delivery teams.

    Architectural Technologist Job Overview

    Produce detailed technical drawing packages and construction documentation using Revit.
    Support the delivery of high-rise, mixed-use, residential, and commercial projects across multiple RIBA stages.
    Coordinate technical information with consultants, contractors, and wider project teams.
    Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations and technical standards.
    Assist with planning submissions, technical detailing, and project coordination.
    Attend project meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of live schemes.
    Work collaboratively within a growing and design-focused studio environment.Architectural Technologist Job Requirements

    Minimum of 5 years' experience within an architectural practice.
    Strong experience delivering UK-based projects, ideally including high-rise or mixed-use developments.
    Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations.
    Proficiency in Revit is essential.
