How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role:

    A vacancy has arisen for a Structures and Highways (S&H) Maintenance Programme Lead within the Maintenance Delivery team based at the Asset Management location in Wallasey.

    This role is integral to the Maintenance Delivery Team who will act as the Principal Contractor for LCRCA when delivering maintenance and projects across all Structures and Highways assets.

    This role will be responsible for all S&H asset performance by developing and implementing planned maintenance programs and delivering internal investment projects on time and in budget.

    This role will contribute to strategic asset management and lifecycle of assets across the LCRCA estate.

    The S&H team are the Statutory Compliance duty holders for all S&H related activities and will strive to continually improve health and safety of the team and trades by innovative use of technology and reviewing maintenance practices. The S&H Lead will report to the Maintenance Delivery Manager and supervise a team of engineers by setting standards then managing activities and performance.

    Working hours are flexible across a 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a degree in a civil or structural discipline and/or a proven track record of efficiently managing S&H maintenance programs, teams and contractors to a high standard, whilst ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of the team, customers and the public, is at the heart of everything you do.
