How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Construction Quality Manager

    Rate of pay: £300 per day (umbrella)
    Location: Manchester, M2
    Job Type: Temporary (until end of September 2026)We are seeking a Construction Quality Manager to be the main point of contact on site, ensuring that construction projects are executed to the highest standards. This role involves overseeing the construction process from initial drawings and specifications through to completion, ensuring all aspects meet exemplary standards.

    Day-to-day of the role:

    Serve as the primary site contact, ensuring construction adheres to the required issue drawings and specifications.
    Manage the construction management team's activities, including providing construction advice for business units, giving buildability advice during RIBA stages 1 to 4, and managing construction during RIBA stage 5 for safe, defect-free handover.
    Ensure the end-built product complies with all standards and exhibits quality construction.
    Manage all third-party involvement during construction, including strategic partner relationships and supply chain management.
    Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes, implementing corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives.
    Develop short- or medium-term work schedules to meet planned commitments, approving overtime or additional resources as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Significant experience in the construction industry, particularly in sub and superstructure for apartment construction and house building.
    In-depth knowledge of build materials, build sequence, and the local supply chain.
    Proven experience in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects within a large construction organisation.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to make effective judgments and decisions based on evidence and analysis.
    Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and customers.
    Demonstrable commitment to customer service and an unwavering commitment to health and safety on site.
