How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN & Behaviour Support
    Harrow, HA3 (commutable from Kenton, Wealdstone, Queensbury, Stanmore, Harrow & Wealdstone)
    £105-£120 per day
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

    Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming primary school in Harrow to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for September.
    This opportunity is ideal for a graduate looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or Teacher Training. The role will involve supporting pupils across KS2, including children with additional needs relating to ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
    The school is looking for someone reflective, proactive and genuinely interested in child development and behaviour support.

    About the Role
    Working alongside class teachers, the SENCo and pastoral staff, you will:
    * Support pupils across KS2 during lessons and structured learning activities
    * Work with children who require additional support with focus, emotional regulation and engagement
    * Deliver small-group intervention sessions linked to learning and social development
    * Build positive relationships with pupils and act as a consistent support figure
    * Help maintain a calm and inclusive classroom environment
    * Observe behaviour and learning patterns, providing feedback to staff where appropriate
    * Gain exposure to a range of SEN needs and classroom strategies

    This role offers excellent hands-on experience for graduates interested in understanding how children learn, develop and respond to different support approaches.

    * A graduate in Psychology or a related subject
    * Strong interest in child development, SEN or mental health
    * Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
    * Confident communicating with pupils and staff
