How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure delivery? This is an opportunity to join a leading clean energy developer delivering a significant portfolio of onshore wind projects across Great Britain and Ireland.

Working on projects ranging from 30MW to 200MW, you will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle - from early-stage development and Financial Investment Decision (FID) through to construction, commissioning and handover into operations. You'll be joining a collaborative engineering environment where you'll oversee multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages of maturity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and technically strong engineer who enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams and driving projects forward in a fast-paced renewable energy environment.

    The Role

As Project Engineer, you will act as the engineering focal point across a portfolio of onshore wind projects, ensuring safe, efficient and technically robust delivery throughout the lifecycle of each scheme.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Establishing and coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Leading the development of designs, technical specifications and engineering solutions
Managing engineering risks, assumptions and opportunities
Ensuring projects meet programme, safety, environmental and quality requirements
Reviewing contractor designs, technical submissions and installations
Supporting CDM responsibilities, including acting as Principal Designer where required
Representing engineering within project meetings, technical reviews and stakeholder presentations
Working closely with turbine suppliers, contractors, grid operators and consultants
Collaborating with internal teams including construction, procurement, commercial, planning and asset operations
Driving consistency and continuous improvement across engineering delivery processes and templatesThe role is primarily hybrid-based, with infrequent travel expected for site visits, inspections, factory acceptance tests and commissioning support (typically around once per month).

    About You

We're keen to speak with experienced Project Engineers who have delivered complex, high-value infrastructure or energy projects within a multidisciplinary environment.

    You should ideally have:

Proven experience delivering large-scale engineering or construction projects from development through delivery
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering integration
Experience working within highly regulated or safety-conscious environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
A relevant engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or similar)
Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation is desirable
Project Management qualifications or experience would be advantageous
CDM knowledge along with IOSH or NEBOSH certification would be beneficial
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally as requiredPrevious onshore wind experience within Great Britain or Ireland would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other relevant sectors and infrastructure environments will also be considered.

    Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to contribute to major renewable energy developments that will play a significant role in the transition to a low-carbon future. You'll be joining a forward-thinking organisation committed to innovation, sustainability and long-term infrastructure delivery, whilst working alongside highly experienced engineering and project teams.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged.
