We’re currently working with a growing Facilities Management company who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their Projects division based out of Dartford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that is continuing to expand across the London & South East market, delivering a wide range of electrical and M&E projects within commercial, healthcare, education and public sector environments.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for managing the estimating process for electrical projects typically ranging from £500k - £2m, working closely with the Pre-Construction and Operations teams to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
* Carrying out take-offs and producing accurate cost plans
* Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Liaising with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams
* Supporting value engineering and cost-saving solutions
* Assisting with bid presentations and tender negotiations
* Supporting smooth project handovers to operational teams
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within FM, M&E or Building Services
* Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations
* Experience tendering projects within live environments would be advantageous
* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
