How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Dispatch Team Member and Customer Service Lead

    Reporting To: Dispatch Team Leader                                   

    Place of Work: Seend

    Hours/Days: 9-5 mon – fri (flexible on shorter days)

    Microbz Overview

    We are a fast-growing probiotic wellness business built around a belief that healthy soils create healthy food, and healthy food creates healthy people. We make living probiotic products from our organic land in the English countryside for gut health, homes, animals, gardens and agriculture.

    We are a founder-led business with strong values, a loyal customer base and ambitious plans for growth. We are looking for a team member who can support our dispatch processes and take a lead on customer services both via email and on the phone.


    Role Summary

    This role works to ensure that orders received are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner in collaboration with our courier partners. The role includes following internal procedures to ensure that sufficient stocks of product, packaging and related supplies are always available.


    This role is also the first port of call for customer enquiries via email or on the phone. You will receive full training on the products and the website, but it is essential that you are comfortable answering questions and supporting customers.


    Due to the size of the company, we are looking for staff who are happy to support in various areas of the business, for example in bottling and production duties as well as wrapping pallets and supporting the organisation of the warehouse.


    Specific Responsibilities


    Dispatch

    ·     picking and packing orders to a high-quality

    ·     completing dispatch of all retail orders in a timely manner

    ·     completing wholesale orders and dispatching them in accordance with our agreements

    ·     learning about exporting processes

    ·     using our in-house CRM to take and manage orders and mark them as complete

    ·     booking couriers online for local, national and international deliveries

    ·     supporting the dispatch team leader to operate a well-functioning department 

    ·     completing a weekly bottle count of bottles dispatched

    ·     counting key materials and flagging when more need to be ordered


    Customer services

    ·     taking orders from customers on the phone

    ·     dealing with questions and responding to customers in a professional manner on the phone and via email, escalating them when appropriate

    ·     maintaining records of customer feedback

    ·     supporting the team to improve customer’s experience of the website and other touchpoints


    Other duties

    ·     stock takes to ensure availability of packaging supplies and products

    ·     supporting the bottling process when staff are needed. This can include being on the production line to bottle, label, package products and clean the area when finished.

    ·     supporting the wrapping of pallets

    ·     ordering supplies and receiving incoming deliveries

    ·     maintaining a clean and organised dispatch environment


    This role involves being part of a small, hands-on team. Full training will be provided.


    The ideal candidate would

    ·     be comfortable with IT and familiar with email and Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel are essential)

    ·     be familiar with HACCP standards

    ·     have a professional telephone manner and be energised by speaking to customers and helping them to solve issues

    ·     be a team player

    ·     have experience of the manufacturing dispatch environment

    ·     be able to work in an energetic, fast paced environment while also maintaining standards
