Location: Reading, Berkshire (2 sites, including an Early Years setting)
Salary: £32,916 (M1) – £51,048 (U3) + SEN 1 Allowance
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Maternity Cover
Start Date: ASAP or September
We are supporting a highly regarded specialist SEN school in Reading to appoint a PMLD Teacher. The school operates across two sites, one of which focuses on Early Years, and delivers specialist provision for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a calm, highly structured environment with strong multidisciplinary support.
The Role
Teaching pupils with PMLD and complex additional needs
Delivering highly personalised, sensory-based learning programmes
Supporting communication, physical development, and life skills
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
Implementing EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans
Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environmentRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience teaching pupils with PMLD or complex needs
Strong understanding of sensory and therapeutic approaches
Calm, patient, and reflective teaching style
Excellent teamwork and communication skillsWhat’s on Offer
