This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Food specialist ready to lead a successful department and drive outstanding teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4.

The academy is looking for a dynamic leader who can bring creativity, innovation, and energy into the classroom while developing a curriculum that engages and challenges students of all abilities.

The Role

As Head of Food Technology, you will:

Lead and develop the Food Technology curriculum across the department

Deliver engaging and practical lessons that inspire students

Drive achievement and raise standards across KS3 and KS4

Support and mentor teaching staff within the department

Promote a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment

Play a key role in the wider Design & Technology faculty

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Demonstrate strong leadership or department management experience

Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning

Have excellent classroom management and communication skills

Be committed to raising outcomes and student engagement
