A primary school in Bishop's Stortford is seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a vibrant and engaged Year 5 class in a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Key Stage 2 (Maternity Cover)

Location: Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
Start Date: Flexible (September 2026)
Part-Time: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Pay: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

As a Year 5 Class Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Inspire and motivate pupils to become confident, independent learners
Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
Monitor progress and use assessment to drive pupil achievement
Work closely with colleagues to support planning and share best practiceThe role will involve full class responsibility, including planning, teaching, and assessment, in line with school expectations.
