How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the London Borough of Croydon, supporting pupils aged 9-18. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and make a lasting impact on young people who need it most.

    * Contract: Monday to Friday, term-time only
    * Duration: Full academic year (with potential to become permanent)

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 9-18 with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. You'll work closely with experienced staff, receive hands-on training, and make a meaningful difference every day.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Providing 1:1 and small group support

    * Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

    * A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach
    * Strong communication and teamwork skills
    * Confidence in supporting personal care (training can be provided)
    * Previous experience in education or care settings (desirable, not essential)

If you're ready to take on a deeply rewarding role where you can genuinely change lives, we'd love to hear from you.
