How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a graduate hoping to become a qualified Psychologist or Therapist in the future?
Are you passionate about supporting children with mental health needs?

    Position: Mental Health Teaching Assistant
    Location: Salisbury
    Salary: £90 - £100 per day
    Start Date: ASAP

A specialist school is seeking a recent graduate to join their team as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant. You will support vulnerable children and teenagers with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for an aspiring psychologist to gain hands-on experience in mental health support, laying the foundation for further study or professional training.

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with children who have a range of mental health challenges. Many pupils may also have additional learning needs, such as Autism, ADHD, or behavioural difficulties. Your role will combine academic support with emotional guidance, helping students develop essential skills including emotional literacy, self-regulation, positive social interactions, and resilience.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates to gain practical experience. You will learn and implement strategies such as CBT, behaviour support plans, and restorative practices, while also receiving training in safeguarding and de-escalation techniques. This ensures you can effectively support the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of each student.

The school is seeking a resilient, supportive, and open-minded graduate who is ready to start immediately.

If you are interested in this role, please apply today with your CV.
