Overview
Join an engineering team at the forefront of delivering civil and infrastructure design for major gas compression and energy projects across the UK. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer ready to take on technically challenging infrastructure schemes supporting gas transmission, compression facilities, and energy transition programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing civil engineering design deliverables
- Developing practical and efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits
- Preparing calculations, reports, specifications, and design risk assessments
- Supporting layouts, drainage, foundations, roads, and associated infrastructure design
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors
- Supporting design reviews, constructability input, and project delivery activities
- Managing design changes and ensuring technical compliance
- Supporting programme planning and estimating activities
Requirements
- 5+ years civil design experience within energy, utilities, pipelines, or infrastructure sectors
- Experience supporting industrial infrastructure or gas-related projects
- Strong understanding of civil design deliverables and engineering standards
- Degree, HND, or equivalent engineering background
- Chartered or working toward chartership
- Strong communication and technical reporting capability
- Full UK driving licence beneficial
