How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Role: Experienced Upper KS2 Class Teacher

    Location: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire

    Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £32,916.00 - £47,472.00 Annually (FTE) MPs/UPS with possible TLR for right candidate

Our client, a welcoming and community-focused primary school, is seeking a motivated and adaptable Primary Teacher to join their team. The year group can be tailored to suit the successful candidate’s strengths, experience, and interests, with a particular need currently in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 or 6).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a one-form entry school where children are at the heart of everything. The school is driven by a strong ethos centred on building confidence and encouraging pupils to aim high. Staff are passionate about ensuring every child not only achieves well academically but also develops the self-belief needed to succeed in life.

The school is looking for a teacher whose purpose is rooted in making a genuine difference. They value professionals who are committed, reflective, and ambitious—for both their pupils and their own career development.

There is a strong focus on staff development, and the leadership team is keen to nurture individual strengths. Whether you have a subject specialism or an area you’re looking to grow, you will be well supported in achieving your professional goals. For the right candidate, there may also be a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) available.

    The Role:
As a Class Teacher, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning. You will be responsible for the progress and wellbeing of all pupils in your class, including those with Special Educational Needs, English as an Additional Language, more able learners, and those eligible for additional funding support.

You will benefit from coaching and mentoring from experienced leaders, ensuring you feel supported and confident in your role.

The school has high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour, alongside a broad and engaging curriculum. It is an inclusive environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. A growth mindset underpins teaching and learning, with an emphasis on opportunity rather than limitation—pupils are not labelled or grouped by perceived ability, but instead are empowered to take ownership of their learning.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    * Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (desirable)

    * Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum

    * High expectations of pupils and themselves

    * A reflective and proactive approach to teaching

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    * Strong organisational abilities

    * Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging teaching and learning

    * A good sense of humour and a positive attitude

Applications are welcomed from teachers of all backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.

    School Visits:
Prospective candidates are encouraged to arrange an informal visit to the school to gain a real sense of the environment and ethos. Visits are by appointment only.

    Why Join This Trust?

The school is part of a well-established and highly regarded multi-academy trust, offering:

    * Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities

    * A collaborative and supportive network of schools

    * A strong focus on staff wellbeing and work-life balance

    * A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and innovation

    * The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives and future communities

    Benefits Include:

    * Generous annual leave entitlement

    * Access to high-quality CPD and training

    * Flexible and family-friendly working options (considered on an individual basis)

    * Employee discounts and perks scheme

    * Comprehensive wellbeing and employee assistance support
